In your moments of reflection, are you reflecting on who you are and what shaped you, or are you consumed by what you think others think of you, or your struggles to get them to think kindly of you?
Most people don’t see themselves when they look in the mirror. They look at everything that is lacking, everything that is worth celebrating because it makes them popular or attractive, or they look at the ravages of life in their eyes.
If we don’t know what defines who we are, we may only discover too late in life that we never really saw ourselves to begin with.
Imagine getting to your twilight years and discovering that you only just started to see yourself without the lens of society or family or partners distorting what you think of yourself?
